i hadn’t heard Iggy Azalea until just now but wow, she’s pretty good. I hear a lot of Based sound and I think this song is a Childish Gambino beat, apparently she’s Australian too? Kudos on being such an enunciated rapper, girl. I hope she does a record and it sounds good, it could go either way it seems - a lot of white girls get written off for being in the game.

Edit - I remember hearing this song PU$$Y sometime last year. But this other song My World is reeeaaaally good.

Azealea Banks - if this bitch don’t get huge I will be pissed. she’s incredible. 212 and her Interpol cover have been in constant rotation for me. I’m waiting for the next track to drop. C’mon now. She’s so off the wall and I think it’s what hip hop needs, Nicki was doing it but shes getting a little stale and overusing her once interesting techniques.

Cold Cave - While I think Wes’ former band is the bee knees, I think CC really found their sound on the Cherish the Light Years. The other stuff I had heard was kind of run of the mill and boring. But he’s really dialed in his Moz/Smith crooning and the production is dope. Comparing AN to CC is apples and oranges though. I can’t wait to hear their next record.

Jenny Wilson - I hadn’t heard her til right now, and honestly saw the name and confused it with Jenny Lewis and was totally ready to talk about how awesome Rilo Kiley was. She’s ok - I don’t really dig her sound very much but that’s just me. Maybe it’s just the sound quality of this music video I’m watching but it’s almost too lo-fi for my tastes.
