jonathonsalas asked: Thrice.
The first two Thrice records are incredible. The Artist in the Ambulance was a pretty good record but I feel like it lost the urgency The Illusion of Safety presented in its song crafting, as well as it’s ability to be almost pop-metal. I used to dig tIOS real hard in high school and jammed out to it a lot (I even had a midi ringtone of The Beltsville Crucible on my old brick phone). I can’t believe they did a Frodus cover on the Alchemy Index 3/4 since hardly anyone that listens to them knows who that band is, but it’s a good nod. They’re one of the bands from hopeless/subcity that I continued to listen to after I started getting into weirder stuff.
Also, Dustin Kensrue can. get. it. Always.
