Much like GSYBE and Black Flag, they are unfuckwithable. I read the 33 1/3 book on Loveless and pretty much just learned that Kevin Shields is in fact crazy as he’s described and that the record took forever to do. But you can’t even begin to discuss how influential this band is on noisy music and loud/quiet/loud bands. I think most genres have MBV to thank, especially grunge and stoner rock, as well as post rock - for their ability to floor you aurally.
If you’re not familiar with this band, get there. Its worth it.
